Chapter 2 - Anna Elizabeth After a moment of sharing her new baby with Helena, Tina asked her if she would go out and tell the girls the good news. When Helena exited the room, Tina seemed to become aware that she was alone in the room with her new baby. Looking at her girl, she was indeed the perfect little creature. Tina was immediately captured by her little fingers and her little toes. The smile that comes on her face as Tina hummed softly to her. She looked around but couldnt believe that Bette wasnt here. For some reason she had felt Bettes presence or at least she had thought she had. Shaking her head Tina remembers her scream and the thought brings a smile to her face. What ever made her think she could truly get Bette out of her life when she cant even get her out of her thoughts? Looking down at her precious baby, she knew she wanted to share her daughter with Bette. She was going to have to rebuild their relationship in some manor. This baby was everything she had hope for when her and Bette were together. The girls all quietly entered the suite to see Tina and her little bundle of joy. Upon entering the room, Tina looked up and smiled a tired happy smile and her thoughts moved on to showing the girls her new baby. Alice was the first to make her way to Tinas side. Tina are you OK? Alice asked in a hushed whisper afraid to disturb the happy scene of Tina and her baby. Yeah, look Alice look. Isnt she beautiful? Tina says as she brings her baby around and uncovers her a little so all the girls can see her beauty. All the girls ooohhd and ahhhed as we all do at any beautiful baby girl. There is something about babies that captures the hearts of us all. All agreed that she was one if not the most beautiful newborn baby they had ever seen. Look at that head of hair? Shane says with a chuckle. What are you going to name her? Dana asked. I had another name picked out but now that the time is here Ive changed my mind and I think I am going with Anna Elizabeth. Tina says as makes up her mind. Yes, Anna Elizabeth Kennard. Anna Elizabeth they all seem to say to themselves under their breaths. I like it. Dana concludes. Just then the door to the suite opens and Helena comes in with a guy carrying a huge camera. Oh you should have seen what a good team we made together as we got through this birth. Helena said to all the girls as she swung into the room and pushed the girls away from Tinas side. Are you ready for some pictures of the blessed new arrival and her mother? All the girls gave Tina that whats with the bitch look to Tina feeling her out as to what she wants them to do. Tina gives all the girls a slight shrug of the shoulders letting them know to play along with Helena. And with that Helena takes over and begins to push the girls away and out of the room. Before Alice leaves she goes up to Tina and gives her a hug that encompasses both Tina and the baby. Alice Tina whispers during the hug is Bette here? Alice pulls away from the hug and just shakes her head as way of answering Tina. Understanding Alices answer, Tina just nods her head thinking she must have just imagined the feel of Bette while she was delivering. Oh, thanks. Alright everyone I must shoo you all out so my Darling can get these pictures and then her well deserved rest. Helena persists in chasing out all of Tinas friends. Tina she is beautiful and we will see you tomorrow. Shane says as she walks up to Helena and turns to smile at Tina. Winking at Tina she then turns on her heals and leaves the room to join the rest of the girls. The next day Tina was scheduled to be released and sent home. They sure dont waste much time in moving you out these days. Tina was waiting for Dr. Wilson to make her rounds and sign Tinas release. Tina had slept well as the exhaustion of the delivery finally caught up with her. The nurses had brought Anna into her to be fed every couple of hours. Despite these interruptions, Tina felt good, rested and anxious to get home. There was a knock on the door, as Tina turned all she could see walking in was a huge bouquet of yellow and white roses. The flowers are beautiful, the yellow roses being Tinas favorite and the white representing the purity of a new life. The delivery boy placed the huge arrangement on the side table next to Tinas bed. He let Tina know he has already been tipped and was good as he quickly exits the room. The flowers just bring a smile to Tinas face as she pulls open the card: You were beautiful in the moment That was all the card said. Nice and simple. Not Helenas usual style but exactly right for the occasion. As Tina was standing there admiring the roses, the door burst open again and in walks another large spray of yellow chrysanthemums being carried by Helena herself. More flowers? Tina asks as Helena bends over and kisses Tina on the cheek. Looking momentarily confused Helena looks at the card in Tinas hand, reading it. Well darling you never can get your girl enough flowers. Helena quipped masking her earlier confusion. Tina caught the look of confusion on Helena and realized that these flowers arent from Helena. Well then who are they from?"
