As the nurse was pulling Bette from the room, she took one more look over her shoulder. Bette would keep this vision of a joyous Tina, cradling her new born baby with a look of complete unconditional love. With that one last look Bette exited the room.
Bette successfully slipped out of her gown and through the staff door. As she was exiting the birthing suite she could hear Helena in the waiting room tell the girls of the glorious event. The screams of joy could be heard all the way down the hall as Bette exited the floor on her way out of the hospital. As Bette was exiting the hospital with the sight of Tina and her, not their perfect little girl in her mind, Bette knew she would have to be a force in this babys life. But how was the question. Bette pondered this question for quite a while afterwards, one thought became entwined with the thought that was Dr. Wilsons question Bette can you do that can you stay in the background? That was the seed that started Bettes mind working. The thought that she needed to be in her daughters life in some way even if it was only in the background started Bette on her new mission in life.

Welcome back Jwet! Great premise for a new story. I truly wish that Bette had made her presence known in the delivery room but I'm going to trust that you will eventually bring these two together.

i think Bette has t declare her intentions and be present in baby's life, not in the background, it's totally her daughter and maybe Tina will understand, i mean she screamed Bette's name...it's time to kick Helena in the a** and move on with Bette
