When Tina woke up she noticed it was still dark outside. She glanced up to look at the clock, it was only 5:30. At this moment she realized that Bette was still sleeping beside her. She slowly slid out of underneath Bette's warm grasp and turned towards her. Bette began to stir but did not wake up. Tina layed there watching her sleep and thaughts flooded her mind. She quietly got out of bed and threw on a pair of track pants and a sweatshirt. She grabbed her keys and walked out the door.
George woke up to a loud knocking at her door. She moaned and yelled "Go away Alice" looking at the clock "it's six am for fucks sake" she said then covered her head with a pillow. The knocking didn't stop, it only got louder. "Dammit!" she yelled getting off her bed and stumbing towards the door. She fliped on the light and said "This better be really fucking important" as she opened the door. Much to her surprise it was Tina at her door and not Alice.
George: "Tina? What are you doing here? Is everything ok?"
Tina shook her head and began to cry. George led her in and sat her down.
George: "What's goin on girl? Did something happen with Helena? Please, give me just one reason to beat her down"
Tina: "No, nothing happened with Helena." she said starting to calm down. "This is so hard, I don't really know what im doing. There are just so many things running through my head. I went home last night...to Bette. I don't know why I did it, I just needed to feel her touch....im involved with some else now, im going to have a baby soon. There are just too many things going on right now. I've gotten back to myself, im happy there..but I miss her. I enjoy the time I spend with Helena, it's new and different"
George: "Yeah very different" she said butting in.
Tina: "What do you mean by that?"
George: "I remember the first time I met Bette. I thaught it was going to be weird, you with a woman, but when I saw you two together you looked so perfect. You compliment eachother perfectly, in every way. When I look at you now it's like a light has gone out inside of you."
Tina: "I know...but she betrayed me. She turned her back on me. She had been doing it for a while, I should have known something was wrong."
George: "Tina, this shit happens all of the time. I can't begin to imagine how you feel about it. You need to first figure out when you disconnected. Look at the last year through Bette's eyes.
