Chapter 33

The morning rays slowly creeping its way thru the French window, the room was quiet and only the slow breathing of the two women was playing in the air. It had been twenty four hours since that unfortunate incident in the office but neither of them cared; Bette and Tina were in bed… naked, comfortably lying on their side while gazing at each other’s eyes. The thought of losing their job at Foldings&Sherman Law Firm no longer crossed their minds for all they cared about was their future together. The word forever and the idea of spending the rest of their lives together were now tickling their minds making them excited for what the future in stored for them.

They made love all day…all night… but still not enough to satisfy the insatiable love and desire for each other. As Tina traced the contours of the brunette’s face with the tips of her fingers, things were running in her mind

“Babe…”

Bette smiled, she loved Tina’s voice, the distinct softness of it and the way she said her name never failed to send tingle through her

“Hmmm?”

Tina bit her lip, she had been meaning to tell the brunette about the meeting that she had a few months ago but there was never the right time or the right moment however due to the recent event she thought that this was the right push that she’d been waiting for

“I have a confession to make…”

“Yeah?”

 Bette replied but her attention was really on gently running her hands on the blonde’s creamy white shoulder blade and arm. A moment after, Tina felt the brunette’s fingers slowly approaching the valley of her breasts…teasing her, Bette’s feather like touch was making her instantly wet

“Baby this is something important” the blonde replied breathlessly

The brunette chuckled; she knew what her touch could do to the blonde so she stopped what she was doing to give her undivided attention

“I’m all ears Tee”

Tina took a deep breath, her caramel skinned lover’s hand could really make her crazy so before it went to a dangerous level she thought she’d better start telling what’s on her mind

“Babe since you already told the other senior partners that you’re going to leave the firm I don’t see any reason for me to stay there anymore”

“Tee you don’t have to give up your work, I know you’re worried about me but really you don’t have to. I’m happy with my decision and I wouldn’t trade any job in the world for your love”

 Bette smiled; the blonde felt her heartstrings tugged at what she heard that she just had to give her beautiful lover a sweet lingering kiss making Tina forgot for a while that she had something important to say to the brunette. Bette was about to pull away when the blonde held her face and gently bit the caramel skinned beauty’s lower lip which elicited a deep moan on both women. It took the blonde a few minutes to muster enough strength to break the kiss

“Hmmm, baby not that I’m complaining but if you keep on saying those lovely words I might totally forgot what I have to say…” the blonde said her glazed eyes staring at those dark brown pools

Bette giggled, “Tee you’re so cute… alright for the mean time I’m not going to say anything like that anymore but you also have to stop kissing me like that otherwise…” the brunette trailed off then wiggled her brows matching the mischievous smile on her face.

Both women laughed, despite the ‘little scandal’ that happened about 24 hours ago both women were now basking at the happiness that they felt. It’s really amazing what freedom could do to people, Bette and Tina were happy knowing that they didn't have to hide anymore which meant that they could start exploring their love without worrying what others would think or say.

“Bette, remember Dean Rivers?”

Hearing that name put a frown on the brunette’s face, Dean Rivers was Tina’s classmate in college. About a couple of months after the NYC trip Bette and Tina were shopping in a grocery store when they bumped into him. The guy was obviously smitten with the blonde that he openly flirted with her in the brunette’s presence; of course, Dean didn’t know that the blonde was in a relationship with Bette. Although quite irritated Tina remained polite but when she noticed Bette’s discomfort she made an excuse that she needed to go somewhere else.

“How can I forget?” Bette replied, she still remembered how obnoxious the man was

“Babe I know you don’t like him but please hear me out, ok?”

The brunette took a deep breath “Alright”

“I was in the gym a few months ago when I saw him again…” Bette’s brows furrowed, Tina lovingly stroked the brunette’s brows and said “…I know you’ll think that he probably flirted with me again but he didn’t, he was actually there to pick up his fiancée”

“Oh that’s a surprise!” Bette answered

“That was the same reaction that I had…”the blonde giggled
