They got out of the building and in to his waiting car.

“Are you ok Tina?” Greg asked as he started the car.

“Yeah sure why do you ask?”

“You just seem a little distracted” He smiled at her.

Tina sighed “I just had a tough day I’m sorry”

“No there’s no reason to be sorry everybody has bad days” he said “what happened?”

“It’s this person I really like but things got totally messed up between us”

“I’m sure you can work it out…does he like you too?”

“It’s a she” Tina said as Greg raised an eyebrow at her “And I’m pretty sure she likes me as much as I like her”

“So talk to her”

“It’s not that simple…” Tina started

“Look Tina I’m going to give you some advice” Greg started “If you like this woman and she likes you that’s all that matters. Forget about everything else and just focus on that. When I was in my twenties I met the most amazing woman and then things got complicated between us…we never gave ourselves a second chance to make it work and I can honestly say that that is the biggest mistake of my life” He said with a sad look on his face.

“I think about her everyday” He sighed.

“I’m so sorry Greg” Tina said feeling bad for him.

“You don’t have to be…It was my mistake” He sighed “Tina don’t make the same mistake I did”

“If you like this woman, don’t let her get away!” He smiled at her.

She smiled back at him as they drove up to the entrance of the party.

“So what’s this party for?” Bette asked looking around the room that was quickly filling with people.

“Nothing” Alice answered “Not every party have to have a reason Porter”

“So it’s just LA Magazine people here?”

“No they are throwing this party together with a television network”

“Oh ok”

“Hey guys look what I got!” Dana came over with a drink in her hand “it’s a free bar” she exclaimed.

“Great come on Porter” Alice said walking up to the bar with Bette following her.

After they got their drinks they stood by the side of the bar talking before Alice squealed.

“Oh my God look who’s here!”

Bette and Dana turned their heads to where Alice was looking and Bette’s mouth dropped as she laid eyes on the beautiful blonde.

“Did you know she was coming here tonight Bette?” Alice asked as she eyed Bette curiously.

“Who?” Dana asked confused.

“No…I didn’t” Bette replied still not taking her eyes off the blonde.

“Guys who are you talking about?! Dana was eager to know.

“You see that blonde in the blue dress?” Alice asked.

“Yeah”

“That’s the escort Bette’s lusting over”

“Alice!” Bette glared at Alice before turning her eyes back to the blonde.

“She’s beautiful” Dana stated as Bette smiled at her.

“So what are you waiting for Porter?” Alice asked.

“What?”

“Go over to her!”

“No I can’t…not after this afternoon”

“What did you do now?” Alice asked rolling her eyes.

“Nothing we just had an argument… not everything is my fault you know” Bette said shooting Alice an angry look.

“OMG” Alice squealed.

“What?” Bette and Dana said in unison.

“She’s here with Greg Thompson, the news reporter!”

Bette’s eyes went back to Tina seeing her being led in by a man in his fifties.

Greg had his arm around Tina leading her in to the party.
