fuck.” Tina bit her lip and her eyes pooled. “Okay....tell me what you know.”
Dana nodded her head vigorously, relieved to have the hard part behind her.
“I found the lump last weekend. I never noticed it before so I don’t know now long I’ve had it but the doctor said it’s a pretty aggressive cancer that began in the milk ducts...” Dana took a breath, “an infiltrating ductal carcinoma,’ she repeated from memory.
Tina stared back her aghast.
The brunette shrugged, “I know. It’s already spread to my muscle tissue.”
Tina opened and closed her mouth before speaking.
“I can’t fucking believe this Dana. What now?” Her voice was soft but ragged.

Tessa did NOT just hit on my ex-wife right in front of me, right?” She turned around to give Tessa a look and found her smiling sweetly at her.
“Tessa...”
“Tina?”
Tina gave her an exasperated look, but bit back what ever she had planned to say. She turned back around in her seat and adjusted her sunglasses.
“You didn’t mind me giving Bette my phone number, did you? Kind of late to be asking I realize, but damn that woman is sexy and honestly, I could use some ‘sexy’ about now.” Tessa had ended a three-year relationship a few months earlier.
“Besides, I don’t want to be a 3rd wheel around you two all weekend, right? I thought she looked like fun, maybe even a prospect to take to Fire Island for the party?”
Tina choked audibly. “Tessa. Bette’s here for a meeting and an art opening, she’ll be back on the West Coast by tomorrow night.”
“An Art Opening? Whose gallery?
