That she loved her and was lying when she said she wanted them to only be friends...But she couldn't, not now. They had an audience and there was a beautiful woman sitting beside Bette, a woman she had dared to bring to the planet.

It was hard for Tina to keep track of the conversation . She was too busy studying Candace. Didn't Candace have a last name?...Her eyes were amber ,and when they lit on Bette they became slumberous and warm. Even from across the table, Tina could feel the sparks shooting from those eyes. Once she saw Bette answer Candace's question with a deep sultry smile and the food in Tina's mouth could have been dust. She tried to keep her mind away from them and listen to what Alice and Shane were saying, but it was impossible.

Candace's dress was half white, setting off her fabulous tan. From what Tina could see,the fabric outlined a perfect, statuesque figure, and left nothing to the imagination. Candace was practically draped over Bette the whole night. Tina was finding it difficult not to scream at both of them. Candace's thighs were rubbing against Bette's in an erotic invitation. Absently Bette reached over and patted her knee. Tina would have gladly murdered first Candace and then Bette.

Did she have the right to be jealous? Bette was single and she was still married.______ Separated but married .She had pushed Bette away by telling her that they could only be friends. Was she too late? Was this the price she had to pay for being so stubborn?. There was every reason in the world for Bette to be . . . seeing someone. But did she have to be so beautiful? So sexy? And why did she have to bring her to the planet where there was a ninety percent chance that she would run into her?. The jealousy was eating at Tina.

“Bette! We need to talk” Tina said and got up from the table. She didn't once look back to see if Bette was behind her as she exited the room.

Tina was on her way to her car when her arm was practically pulled from her.

“How dare you come in there and act like some jealous girlfriend? And embarrass me like that?” Bette screamed

“How dare me?, how dare you?” Tina answered back. Her anger generated by jealousy and frustration. She pulled her arm away from Bette. “How dare you flaunt that little tramp in my face? And talk about embarrassment. What do you think Alice and Shane are talking about right now?”

“She's not a tramp.
