They reached Bette’s apartment and again Bette helped Tina with her coat, they walked into the living room and sat down, each knowing they needed to talk, neither wanting to ruin a perfect day, Tina spoke first.

“Bette I had a really good time today, I especially loved visiting the museum it’s incredible Bette”

“Thanks T, I’ve worked so hard there, I’m glad you can appreciate it”

“T, you want something to drink, water, coke?” Bette asked getting up, walking to the kitchen.

“Water please” Tins replied

Tina got up and followed Bette to the kitchen area.

Bette handed Tina water.

“The girls want me to take you to a club tonight, you up for it?”

“Not, really I’m still pretty tired, I would like to spend some time with you” Tina smiled.

Bette smiled, she was starting to feel a bit nervous, part of her had wanted Tina to say yes she was afraid of spending time alone with her Bette was having a hard time controlling her feelings, the other part of Bette hoped Tina would say no, it was the part of Bette that wanted to devour Tina, have her all to herself.

Bette, couldn’t explain what happened next, hearing Tina express her feelings, the same feelings Bette was having well that was enough to tell Bette things were going to be ok.

Bette took Tina by the hand and led her to the bedroom, Bette looked at Tina one more time, fighting the demons within her that told her this was her bestfriend, the person she trusted the most in the entire world, Bette’s need for Tina won over the part of Bette that needed to rationalize to process what the impact of what was about to happen could have on their lives.

Bette reached for the hem of Tina’s T-shirt and pulled it over Tina’s head.  The sight of Tina, her T standing there in a lacey white bra rendered Bette not only speechless but breathless; Bette reached over and traced her finger over the lace touching the exposed soft creamy mounds.
