“You want one?” Bette asked Tina.
“I don’t think so. I’m going for a walk,” Tina said getting up and walking away before Bette could say anything. Bette looked at Papi.
“Go after her,” Papi told Bette and she nodded. Tina was walking around the neighborhood, it was cold. Tina quickly put her arms around her. Bette walked from afar and saw that Tina must be cold. She quickly took her jacket off and went to put it around Tina.
“Oh, thank you babe.” Bette grabbed Tina’s hand and guided her to a bench nearby.
“What’s wrong Tina?” Bette asked Tina.
“Nothing’s wrong. I’m fine,” said Tina looking around.
“You know, I believe that we should always tell each other what’s on our minds. We avoid a lot of complications that way,” said Bette taking Tina’s hand. Tina let out a sigh.
“I don’t like drinking. And I don’t like it when people do it either,” said Tina honestly.
‘Thank you for your honesty. That’s all I wanted,” said Bette smiling.
“Look, now you’re making fun of me,” said Tina also smiling.
“No, I’m not. I believe that everybody has their own opinions. And, if you don’t like people who drink. Then I won’t drink.”
“Bette, if you like drinking you should drink. Don’t give up something you like just because I don’t like it.”
“I would never do something that you don’t agree with. If you think we shouldn’t drink, than I’m not going to drink,” said Bette taking Tina in her arms.
“But that’s who you are. You go to clubs and drink until you’re drunk.”
“That’s what I do, because I didn’t have anything more to do at clubs then hook up with different girls and drink. And now I have you, you make me want to be a better person,” Bette said and Tina smiled snuggling closer to Bette.
“Bette, I feel the same way. But I don’t want to change you. I fell in love with you.”
“I know and I fell for you. And that’s why I would like to make you happy anyway I can. Alcohol is not a necessity. It’s just something I did with the girls. Okay?”
“Okay, fine don’t drink. But can we at least go to the clubs to dance?”Tina asked Bette looking into her eyes. Bette smiled and kissed Tina. After a while they went back to the basketball court. There they found all their friends drunk. Bette went to the coolers; she got 2 drinks and then went for her blanket and walked away with Tina.
