Chapter 10:
After shopping for chips Bette took Tina home and told her she would be by to pick her up in an hour. Bette than hurried home and took a shower. Then she went back to Tina’s house to pick her up. She got to Tina’s house and walked up to the door. Before she knocked Amy opened the door and let Bette in. “She’s in her bedroom. Just go up,” said Amy before walking back into the kitchen. Bette went up to Tina’s room, she knocked before she entered. When she entered she didn’t see Tina anywhere in her room. So Bette decided to wait for her, Tina was probably in the shower. Bette was lying on the bed when Tina came in the room. She was only in a towel. Tina was very surprised to see Bette in her room; Bette had the biggest grin on her face.
“Wipe that grin off your face,” said Tina getting her clothes. Bette got up and went to stand right behind her. Bette put her hands on Tina’s waist and kissed her shoulders. “Bette, stop please.”
“Why?”Bette asked Tina. Tina’s breathing got heavier; Bette knew that Tina was turned on.
“I need to get dressed,” said Tina. Bette decided to stop and stepped away from Tina. Tina went to get dressed while Bette lay on the bed. After a few minutes Tina came back to find Bette lying on her bed. Tina decided to join her for a few minutes; Tina went on the bed and snuggled close to Bette. Bette let Tina snuggle closer to her.
“I’m sorry about today,” said Bette looking up.
“Sorry about what?” Tina asked curious.
“About my father,” Bette said letting out a sigh, “I just don’t want to lose you.”
“You won’t lose me, even though we’ve only known each other for a while. Everybody can see that we love each other. It’s like it’s meant to be.”
“It is,” said Bette holding Tina tighter and giving Tina a kiss on her head.
“So, are you with me?” Bette smiled and answered:”Now, and forever.” Tina smiled and gave Bette a kiss.
After a while they were on their way to the court. Bette was looking forward to sleeping under the stars with Tina. After their talks, Bette knew that she couldn’t just let Tina go. Tina was definitely worth fighting for. She didn’t know what she was going to do to convince her father. She definitely needed the help of her friends.
Basketball court:
Bette and Tina were the first ones to arrive. They got out of the car and started getting ready. Bette and Tina decided to just lay out a blanket and use that to sleep on. This has been Papi, Bette, Shane and Alice’s thing for years. The more they grew up the less they did it. Bette was glad that they were going to do it again. She was also glad that she would be doing it with Tina.
“You’re happy,” said Tina coming to sit next to Bette on the bench.
