”Alice asked Jody fresh. “I need to go to school. Girls! Would you hurry up?!” “Calm down. If you needed to be somewhere I would have taken care of the girls till tomorrow.” “No, this is my time with them. I take care of them,” said Jody. “Look, I’m just trying to help you,” said Bette trying to make Jody understand. “I don’t need your help!” said Jody going after the girls. Bette let out sigh and said:”I can’t believe I thought once she would be a good mother.” “Neither can I,” said Alice. After a few minutes Jody and the girls returned. “Tell your mother goodbye and let’s go,” said Jody before leaving the condo. Katie and Amy went to Bette and gave her a hug. They didn’t seem to want to let go. Shane and Alice noticed this. “I’m going to miss you,” Amy and Katie said. “I’m going to miss you too. But we’ll see each other again in 2 days okay? I love you both,” said Bette giving each a kiss. Then she made sure they had everything with them. After that, she walked her daughters downstairs and saw them get into Jody’s car. Bette came back upstairs and joined Shane and Alice on the sofa. “So, are you going to talk to Joyce now?”Alice asked Bette. “Yeah, I guess so.” “I hope it’s enough to get custody of Katie and Amy,” said Shane trying to cheer Bette up. “Yeah, me too. I was just never that much apart from them you know?” “Yeah, we were there with you,” said Shane. Shane and Alice knew Bette loved Katie and Amy to death. Ever since they were born, Bette was always there for them. Jody never seemed to want to be there. After a couple of hours of hanging out, Alice and Shane finally left. Bette went to get ready to meet Joyce Wishnia. ”So, what do you think?” said Bette after telling Joyce what you found out. “Well, it’s not great. But it will help us. We need all the help we can get with Kennard as a lawyer,” said Joyce going to sit behind her desk. “Do you think there is a big chance Jody will get custody?”Bette asked Joyce fearing the truth. “Look, Bette I’m not going to lie to you. Before when Jody had Stanley as her lawyer I was confidant we would win, but now with Kennard. I’m not sure,” said Joyce trying her best to be calm. “So, there is a 50-50 chance?” “Yeah, there is. That is why I need you to tell me everything about you, that she could use against you,” said Joyce taking a notebook.
