“Hey!”Both Alice and Shane greeted all of them.
“Auntie Shane and Auntie Alice!” Katie and Amy greeted Shane and Alice. They got of their stool and ran up to their aunties. Bette saw this scene and just laughed.
“Okay, okay girls. Go eat your breakfast,” Bette said patting Amy’s behind.
“I didn’t know you had the girls with you?”Alice told Bette walking into the living room and Shane nodded as well.
“Jody left them here without telling me. She had to go somewhere,” Bette told her two friends.
“Wow, Jody is a greet mother. Isn’t she?” said Alice.
“Alice!” Shane warned her.
“What? She takes Bette’s children away from her and then she does this,” said Alice defending herself.
“She didn’t take them away from me. She just doesn’t give me much time with Katie and Amy.”
“Well, I’ll find something soon on her.”
“No, need too. I think I already found something. To use against her,” said Bette looking at in the kitchen making sure Katie and Amy were still eating. Alice was surprised that Bette found out something before her, she was usually the queen of sneakiness.
“What did you find out?” Alice asked eager to know.
“Well, Katie told me.”
“Katie knows something that Jody did?” Shane asked her surprised.
“Yeah, apparently Jody comes every night with another woman home.”
“Well, that’s horrible when you have children,” Shane said very angry that Jody would expose that kind of behavior to her nieces.
“I can’t believe that Jody would do that when her daughters are at home,” Alice said also not believing that Jody would do that.
“Yeah, well I called her last night on it when she came here. But she didn’t care. Jody thinks that it’s perfectly normal,” said Bette.
“Bette, you have to tell Joyce. Maybe she can use that against her.”
“Yeah, Bette,” said Shane agreeing with Alice.
“Yeah, I know. Today when Jody comes to pick Katie and Amy up I’ll go to Joyce’s office,” said Bette going back into the kitchen. The rest of the morning Shane and Alice stayed with Bette to hang with their nieces until Jody came to pick them up. By noon Jody came up to pick Katie and Amy. When Bette and the others heard a knock they all knew it was Jody. Katie and Amy didn’t want to go, but they needed to go. Bette went to open the door.
“Katie, Amy lets go,” Said Jody who seemed like she was in a hurry. The gils quickly went into their rooms to get their stuff.
