Chapter 1:
Outside New York City Shane McCutcheon walked along the sidewalks.  While she passed every woman turned her way, yes Shane was hot. Shane wasn’t only hot, but also incredibly rich. Shane was she most known hairstylist in the world. Every business in town wanted her to work for them. Shane owned countless off beauty shops around the world and she still wanted to keep opening new ones. Today as any other day she was going to have breakfast with her best friends Alice and Bette. They’ve been friends for a long time, you can say since they were kids.

Alice was the reporter everyone was afraid of. If you had a secret she was the first to find out, even if you haven’t told anybody. That was one of the advantages Shane and Bette have of being friends with Alice Pieszecki. Alice would never give them a bad name, even though she held a lot of their secrets. They all trusted each other with their lives. Alice and Bette went to Yale, both best in their own class while Shane went to Beauty school near Yale. When they finished college, Bette and Shane immediately started up their businesses.  While Alice went to work for the best papers around the world. Bette is the most successful of the three, she owns hundreds of galleries all over the world.

Shane walked every morning from her condo to Bette’s condo where they all had breakfast every day. She was greeted everyday by Tom the buildings doorman.  When she got to Bette’s condo the door was open, it seemed like they were very busy today. Then Shane saw the most beautiful painting sitting in the living room.
“Oh my god,” said Shane out loud.
“She’s a beauty isn’t she?” Bette said coming into the living room next to Shane.
“Definitely, how much was it?” Shane asked before turning to Bette.
“Small price to pay for a masterpiece,” said Bette looking at the painting.
“Katie and Amy are going to love it. They love art as much as their mother,” said Shane admiring the masterpiece.
“Well, I hope so. Katie saw it a couple of months ago in a gallery we visited,” said Bette walking back to the dining room with Shane following her.
“Well, I’m very sure she will love it,” said Shane taking a seat next to Bette,”Where is Alice by the way?”Shane asked taking fruit to eat while Bette read her newspaper.
“I don’t know, but she’s never late,” said Bette right before Alice came in the room.
“Yeah, yeah. I know I’m late and I’m sorry,” said Alice taking a seat and pouring her coffee.
“Had a rough night?”Bette asked Alice putting her newspaper down.
“Yeah, I was working all night trying to find dirt on Jody,” said Alice taking a sip of her coffee.
“Alice,” Bette said in a warning tone.
“What? She’s after your daughters,” said Alice defending what she did.
“I know, but I don’t want you to trash my daughter’s mother.”
“Bette you have to stop being so nice too her. She’s going to court next week to take your 2 daughters away from you.”
“Yeah, I agree with Alice. We have to find something against her like she’s doing to you,” said Shane facing Bette.
Bette let out a sigh:”I just don’t want Katie and Amy to be hurt. And they will if they see their mothers fighting.”
“Yeah, but in the end you’ll be with them,” said Alice starting to eat.
“Well, anyway.
