” “What circumstances?” “Me having a girlfriend. I was fine, until a few minutes ago. I was reminded that he was coming.” “Honey, I thought you would be excited that he was coming.” “Yeah, I was. That was before we got together.” “What does that mean,” said Tina trying to understand what Bette was saying. “I haven’t had a girlfriend for a while now, because my father never approved of them. And now I have you and you’re very important to me. And…” “Wait, what if he doesn’t approve of me? You’re going to break up with me?” Tina asked interrupting Bette and also moving away from Bette. “No, you will.” “Why would I?” “He’ll do something that will make you hate me. Or he’ll pay you off, It doesn’t really matter.” “Of course it matters, I don’t care about him. I care about you,” said Tina wrapping her arms around Bette’s waist and leaning her head on Bette’s chest, ”I’m won’t leave you.” “Tina, it’s not that easy. My father will not only buy you off but also your parents. Now I think about it, maybe it’s best if we weren’t a couple,” Bette said walking away from Tina. Tina immediately grabbed Bette’s arm and stopped her. “So, that’s it?” “I don’t want you to end up hating me. Just like the rest of them.” “The rest? You’ve introduced the others to your father?” Tina asked very curious. “No, he found out. He paid them off behind my back. I never saw them again. So that’s why I never bothered to become close to anybody but my friends. But you surprised me, I fell for you. And that’s why I can’t even imagine you not in my life,” said Bette looking down. Tina took Bette’s head into her hands and made Bette look at her. “I’m never letting you go. I’m in love with you. We have been through a lot. I’m not just letting you go; I don’t care if your father offers me a billion dollars. I’m not going to accept it. You mean more to me than anybody in this world. Please, don’t just give our love up.” Bette smiled and embraced Tina. Bette knew then that she had to fight for their relationship. She hoped she could. And she would have to ask her friends for help. Melvin always liked Papi, Shane and Alice. Maybe they could convince him that she really did love Tina.      :O or :( or :) or :D
