Chapter 9: Bette’s house: After getting home Bette stayed in her car to think. ‘Tina told me she loved me,’ thought Bette. ‘Do I love her to?’ Bette asked herself. ‘Of course. Then why didn’t I tell her?’ Bette asked herself. It was already 12 o’clock when Bette saw the time, but she didn’t care. She started the car and decided to drive to Tina’s house.
Tina’s House: Tina was lying on her bed crying, she regretted telling Bette that she loved her. ‘How can I be so stupid? Of course Bette didn’t feel the same way,’ Tina thought lying on her bed crying.
After a few minutes Bette got to Tina’s house. She got out of the car and went behind the house to Tina’s bedroom window. Bette didn’t know what to do. She could climb up, but she could fall and break something. She decided to do it old school and throw rocks.
Tina was lying on her bed crying when she heard something on her window. She got up and went to see what it was. Tina couldn’t believe what she saw. Bette was throwing rocks at her bedroom window. Tina immediately pulled the window open. Bette saw this and stopped throwing rocks. “Bette what are you doing here?” Tina asked concerned coming on the balcony. “I need to talk to you,” Bette yelled. “Be quite, you’re going to wake the neighbors.” “I don’t care. I’m sorry, but I need you,” said Bette yelling. “It’s almost 1am. Go home; we’ll talk in the morning.” “No, I’m not leaving you. I did it the last time; I’m not doing it again,” said Bette honestly and she started climbing up. Tina saw this and her eyes went big. “Bette don’t you’re going to fall,” said Tina helping Bette up. Worried that Bette will fall, but Bette got on the balcony safe. Tina went back inside and almost shut the door in Bette’s face; luckily Bette caught it in time. She walked up to Tina and brought Tina close to her. “Let go of me Bette,” Tina said pushing Bette away from her. Bette wrapped her arms around Tina and wouldn’t let her go. “Would you please listen,” said Bette. Tina stopped struggling but didn’t look up at Bette. Bette could see at Tina’s face that she was crying.
“I’m sorry I hurt you. It seems I do that every time, it makes me wonder if I really do deserve you,” Bette said and Tina looked up at her. “The point is that, I’m scared too. Scared of what I’m feeling towards you. I’ve never felt this way towards anyone and it scared the hell out of me. When you told me you loved me you caught me by surprise. I didn’t know what to do or say. When I got home tonight all I thought about was you, I realized that you’re the love of my life.
