She alone was a mess when Dana died and Alice was closer to her. Now Alice seemed in love again and the lanky girl was happy for that.
“Her duty is to her heart.” Alice said breaking Shane out of her thoughts.
“I’m sorry, what?!” Shane asked.
“I said… Her duty is to her heart! I thought of that on my own.” Alice said with a huge grin silently patting herself on her back.
Shane smiled and shook her head at her friend. “First of all, cute line.”
“Thanks. Ya know, I think I might be stealing your ‘YODA’ness from you.” Alice added.
“Second of all, You’re right about the stealing.” Shane started and Alice just smiled and nodded. “Cuz you stole that line right from Mulan!” Alice’s mouth came agape and turned red as she looked like a kid getting caught with her hand in the cookie jar. “Don’t deny it Al, I have a son and he loves that movie.”
“I thought that line sounded familiar.” Molly added in and Tasha nodded and was finding her girlfriends antics very amusing.
“Well..wha… that bitch stole it from me right after I kicked her ass!” Alice said as she slumped further into her seat with her arms over her chest and huffed. The 3 others just stared at her and chuckled away.
“Alice, you do realize it’s animated… right?!” Shane added.
“You know what Yoda?!” Alice started as she tried to think of a good comeback. “You’re… you’re…. you’re animated!” The group broke out in another laughter as Alice just let out another huff.
Tasha grabbed Alice in her arms and whispered in her ear. “It’s okay babe. I still love you if you did steal that line from somewhere else.” Alice still kept her frown. “and I know for sure that you would kick her ass any day if you went toe to toe.” Tasha added which she was rewarded with a smile and a sweet kiss to the lips from Alice.
“Now that that’s out of the way.” Shane started as she looked at Alice and smirked. “Tasha, I take it you still work out though… right?!”
“Yeah, I help out at a boot camp, but I do my workouts at about 5am every morning. I don’t have to get into work until a little after noon, so I have a lot of time. Why you ask?”
“Oh, well, I go surfing at about 7 or 8, maybe you wanna catch a wave or something.”
“Shane, I’ve surfed twice, wasn’t too bad, but then again… I wasn’t too good either.”
