She then looked towards the dj booth until she got the dj’s attention. She held up a bottle and tapped on it and the dj nodded. Alice looking on with a sly grin.
“Oh, I see.” Alice said as she patted Shane on the shoulder. “Go ahead; I’ll wait for our drinks.”
Carmen turned her attention back to change records when she felt a pair of slender arms wrap around her waist. “I brought you a drink, ya thirsty?” Came a low voice.
The Latina couldn’t help but let a smile slip on to her face as she bit her bottom lip. “What about Molly?” She said barely above a whisper, but enough for her targeted listener to hear. She let out a small moan as she felt a set of lips on her shoulder as she leaned into the owner.
“Molly?” Carmen nodded. She felt bad because Molly was there, but she just couldn’t break away from the touch, the feeling, the…what ever the hell was going on.. “Well, she’s a nice girl… I guess. Anyways, I’d rather be here with you.” Another soft peck to the bare shoulder as the Latina smiled and turned to meet her ex lover.
“Really now…” Carmen turned with a big smile which soon dropped as she stopped mid sentence. “Jessica?!” She said in confusion. Having been sure that it was Shane coming to bring her a drink. She knew something wasn’t right, the voice didn’t sound anything like Shane, but what can she say, she was caught in the moment. Before she looked down to her records, it was Shane that was on her way to bring her a drink and when she looked up, it wasn’t who she expected. ‘Shit! Shane’ She screamed in her head looking over Jessica’s shoulder to see where her ex lover was at.
“Is there something wrong Carmen?” Jessica asked as she watched the Latina look around the club. “Carmen. Carmen!”
Carmen shook her head out of her search and looked back at Jessica forcing a smile. “I’m sorry… What?!”
“I asked if everything was okay?”
“Uh. Yeah…Yeah.. Fine, everything is fine.” The Latina scrambled with her words.
“You sure?” Jessica asked as Carmen tried to busy herself with her records and steal glances at the crowd in search of Shane. She then spotted Shane walking back to the group along side Alice with drinks in their hands. “Were you expecting someone else?”
