Chapter 20

"Tina! Dammit what the hell are in these boxes...?" Bette was battling with Tina's important "stuff" at hand and was cursing herself about not hiring movers. Bette was still boasting about her winning the bet on who moved where. Tina was a little butt hurt and was looking forward to the closer commute to work and found people to rent her place already with in a months time. SO, was Tina that upset? Nah, she was enjoying the site of watching Bette struggle with her trophy box..hehe her trophy "box".

"Babe, those are my soccer stuff, trophies!" Tina went over to lend a hand and smacked Bette's ass.

"Ugh, Tina where is your dad?...Earl thank god..take this giant whatever it is please!" Earl laughed..and couldn't believe his daughter had to lug around her trophies of her childhood around.

"Tina, honey really. Bette has gone through enough with you moving in and now your trophies?!" Earl chuckled as he help bring in the rest of the boxes and a couch. Jean was in the house putting away some cooking gear of Tina's and making lunch. Bette laughed at the idea of her own family helping them move. Bette's parents were staunchy and well too much of workaholics to really want to do relationship bonding. It still baffled that she was adopted, she loved them, and I guess compassion was harder to earn from them. Bette knew there were moments of the communication from her parents and just they couldn't reach it..it was struggle for them all and Bette needed it sometimes. Her sister was an idiot and well, liked to just fuck up the whole family ideal all the time.

"Bette, baby, you alright?" Bette had drifted off in her own world and hadn't noticed Jean and Tina if she wanted tea or soda.

"Oh yea, I am fine. A uh sprite, if there are any?" Tina nodded and handed her one.

"Bette, you ok?..you seem..uh out of it?" Tina wasn't sure if it was the move or what in Bette's head.

"I am fine Tina. Shit. I can't daydream?" Bette looked at Tina with a stern look and a huff.

"What the hell?" Tina looked at Bette as she walked away and continued to get things in order after all the items have been moved in. Tina went to see what was up in her head or elsewhere.

"Bette, you can't talk to me like that. What is wrong?" Tina was concerned, she had noticed that Bette was distant in the past two weeks before moving day.
