Love and Affection Chapter 18
Bette and Tina continued a few weeks of bliss of love and affection..and then broke up. Ok, no they didn't break up, they got closer of course. Bette was very busy with her new show for Horowitz and Tina with her new movie. The pair continued their passion for competitive sports. Bette healed from her soccer injury and was able to come back and begin practicing and getting down some of the plays that were done with the team. Tina was able to get in the pool with Bette and get her legs used to trying to beat Bette at swimming, which is an impossible dream for her, since Bette was an Olympian, jr, but still impossible. After a few months of enjoying each others company, Tina and Bette had to do the unthinkable, start to talk about meeting family members. As I had left off, Tina was giddy talking about her new love with her mom. With Tina' schedule nothing was firmed up and Bette's schedule didn't really allow much time for huge visits just yet. Who was stalling? Was either stalling or just busy? The likely story is that, Tibette was so wrapped up in their own love story, that well...hard times was not something they are ready to tackle or?
Four months after the rib injury/soccer game:
"Baby, can we talk?" Bette was a little nervous with the tone from Tina.
"Uh, sure, what did I do?" Tina was nervous too.
"Um, what are you doing this weekend? You are done with the show right and the next one isn't for a bit?...Oh and you are thinking of lecturing for a bit at UCSD and USD right for Art history classes right?" Bette thinking it was cute that Tina was nervous and talking so much.
"Yea, I am gonna take a little break from the gallery and have James take more of the reins of the new show and he needs to for his master's program too. And to your other question, yea I am free this weekend. Do we have a game?" Bette was so excited that she was able to grace herself onto a indoor team with Tina now too.
"Um, do you like Temecula? Er, uh wine tasting?" Tina ready to throw up.
"Yea, I like wine tasting. Haven't been to Temecula in a while..your family is up there righh....." Bette smiled at Tina and pulled her in. "Baby, you want me to meet your family?..mmmm If so, then I would love to." Bette was nuzzling Tina's neck and kissing her collar bone slowly. Tina had a sigh a of relief in her head and was melting at Bette's touch.
"..mm I love how you can read my mind.." 'thank god not that night you were conked from your injury..I love her so much..I want to have a family with this creature.
