“No,  .... business.”

“What do you want to drink baby girl?

“Vodka and Cranberry juice.”

Kit, walking away, “Comin’ right up. You girls talk amongst yourselves.”

“Why you drinkin’ so strong tonight Bette. Need a little courage?”

“No, but thank you Alice  .... long day.”

Kit brings Bette’s drink and the girls are patiently,   .....  well, most are patiently waiting for Kit and Bette to tell them why they have been gathered together tonight.”

“Well Kit, this was your idea, so I will graciously allow you to take the floor.” Bette smiled a smirkie smile at Kit and throws her to the lions.

“Well girls, you know how you all went to the Dinah Shore and Bette didn’t get to go.”

Alice butts in, “Yeah and it was a great time. Bette we wish you could have been there but, we know, you had a lot going on and all......” Everyone gives Alice the “SHUT UP” look. “OK Geez ......”

“So anyway, Bette and I wanted to plan a little four day weekend. A kind of get away for all of us.”

Tina is starting to have a sense of being ambushed and Bette sees the upset on her face.

“Let me explain.” Bette now takes the reigns of this conversation.

“Kit and I have ... or had an Aunt Agnes, Daddy’s sister in Louisiana. Apparently and unfortunately, she passed away a few weeks ago and she has left Kit and I something in her will. We have to go to Louisiana for the reading on the 28th and Kit thought it would be a great long weekend get-a-way for us all.”

“Cool, so what da think your gettin, little missy.” Alice is doing a poor imitation of John Wayne.

Scowling at Alice, “We have no idea. But there is apparently another woman listed as a beneficiary. We have no idea who she is.”

“Have you thought of Google  ....  ing her?” Alice could see the look on Bette’s face turning to disgust.

“No Alice, I haven’t given that  a single thought. I am not in the habit of Google .
