Alice kept her smile as she headed out the door.  “Yeah, I’m going…” turning back to Bette,  “Call me tomorrow, not too early though…”  turning back and rounding the door to the hall, “I expect a full report!”  She shouted from the hall.

Bette brought her hands to her hips and dropped her head.  When she heard the front door close signaling Alice’s exit, she lifted her head and looked over at the jewelry box.  “There is no merit to your ridiculous theory, Al.” she said aloud.  Dropping her hands to her sides and letting out a deep sigh, she moved slowly over to her vanity displaying the box.  “Just because the jade earrings work with this outfit doesn’t mean I subscribe to your unsubstantiated theory.”

“Tina, please sit down and try to relax.”  Shane encouraged calmly as Tina paced the room.

“I can’t sit down, I’ll wrinkle.”  Tina said looking at her watch for the third time in less than a minute.

The blonde virtuoso finally settled on natural beige wide-legged cotton cropped pants, a white organic-cotton tee and matching hooded long-sleeve jacket and brown metallic leather stacked-heal sandals.  She shoved her hands in the jacket pockets and let out a deep breath. 

Shane shrugged her shoulders.  “I don’t see what the big deal is, you’re gonna have to sit eventually.”

The knock on the door caused the blonde’s eyes to widen as she brought her head around looking at the main door.  She pulled her hands out of her pockets and took two steps before pausing and looking back to her friend.  “Thanks Shane.”  She said with a smile that conveyed the depth of her gratitude for all the brunette had done.

Grinning, Shane winked.  “You’re welcomed.”

Glancing back at the main door, “Will you be here when I get back?”  Tina asked softly feeling fearful.

Shane stood up, walked over to Tina and took her hand.  She spoke as she walked the blonde to the door.  “I’m going out for a while and I may not be back before you are, but I’ll be back and you can tell me all about your date with the gorgeous woman who is waiting for you on the other side of this door.”  She said with a smile pointing to the door and letting go of her friend’s hand.

Bette looked over at the guard sitting at the table staring at her and smiled nervously.  He wore the same khaki color pants and black polo as the one earlier, but this guy was smaller and gave her the creeps looking at her with suspicion.  She was about to knock on the door a second time when it opened.

Tina opened the door with her eyes cast down and gradually raised her gaze from the brunette’s feet, feeling her heart rate quicken as she scanned Bette’s long legs, her cheeks turn warm as she took in her date’s thighs and stomach, her head begin to spin at the sight of the brunette’s chest and neck, then the blonde virtuoso melted on the spot when she was greeted with Bette’s full smile and soulful dark brown eyes.  “Wow.” She said not finding any other word to express adequately the vision in front of her.
