”“No I can walk.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yea.”
They walked the trail and Dana wait for all the passerby to go away and then headed for the cut off. She made Alice close her eyes and let her through the opening.
“Okay open your eyes.”
“Oh my gosh Dana this view is amazing you can see all of West Hollywood from here.”
“I know I used to come here and think a lot.”
“Well lets set everything up.”
They laid the blanket down and pulled out all of the food. They ate their dinner in silence, there was no reason to talk. Dana packed up the picnic basket. She then laid back down next to Alice. Then sun was going to set and they decided that they would stay and watch it set. It was starting to get chilly so Dana gave Alice her jacket. Dana put her arms around Alice and give her even more warmth. This made Alice so comfortable that she fell asleep. Dana watched the sun set, and afterwards did have the heart to wake Alice, so she picked her up and carried her back to the car. Dana really enjoy what could have been her last day of normalcy. Things could be doing a 360 turn around in the next couple of day. She got home and Alice was still asleep so again Dana carried her to bed. Dana got changed and crawled into bed with Alice.
“I love you Alice now and forever.”
