He silently nodded his head. Hating to be dressed down by a woman but as the booze fog cleared his mind he knew he deserved it. He imagined that his face must have shown his immediate regret because Bette’s features softened as she looked at him. She slowly invaded his space and brought her eyes within inches of his. "I know this has been a very emotional time for you, Richard. Losing Faye. And now we have Cora." She put a hand on his shoulder and smiled. A smile he gratefully returned. She quickly brought her knee up to his groin. "But I don’t give a damn. Pull yourself together." The quickness of her movements delivered the desired affect. Her primary goal was to shock him. The pain was just a bonus. He doubled over in agony, coughing harshly. He slumped helplessly to the floor as Bette walked away. Leaving him to his shock and pain and regret.

You go Bette let Rich know who in is charge. Hopefully Tina comforting Cora will make her feel safe enough to stick around long enough to hear everything she need to about her mom and the danger from her father. Please let her feel the love and trust B&T to help her get out of the world she has been living in. I hope Richard learned his lesson and gets back to business before he lets her fathers people get the chance to find Cora.

Wonderful chapter and so happy Tina was able to comfort Cora to some extent, just hope she does not run away from them before hearing everything. So glad that Bette helped Richard learn to keep his damned mits off Tina. She is totally and completely off limits t him and anyone else. No matter how justified and innocent he thinks his actions are. I'm sure Tina will also break his left testicle when she gets the opportunity as well. As grown up as Cora thinks she is she still needs to listen to them and take their advice about protecting her from all the dangerous people looking for her. Have fun in the sunny state of Florida, just hope those tornados stay away. The Tigers look ready to go. Bette sure let Richard know that Tina was off limits to him. He is lucky that Bette did not remove his eyes or cut off his hand.

I am so glad that Tina was able to reach Cora. I hope that Bette and Tina can help her through the rough time ahead. Richard had every bit of Bette's punishment to him coming and probably then some. I hope he realizes that is actually a small price to pay for the disrespect he showed both Tina and Bette. Fantastic chapter!
