Dana's voice cracked as she fought the voice inside her that screamed for her not to ask any more questions.
"The mind exercises," Donna tried to jog Dana's memory. "Thinking you will win will produce a win."
Donna carefully laid 4 pieces of poster board on the ground and knelt down to smooth them out. She gathered the other bags and began to empty them near the signs to begin construction of the masterpieces when Alice walked in.
"Wow," Alice smiled as she draped her arm around Dana's shoulder. "Talk about going all out, you'll have 4 signs!"
"Everyone can hold one," Donna said as she arranged the stencils she bought to ensure the letters were perfectly created. "I think we should all make one so it's personalized to show Dana our support in our own special way."
"What should mine say?" Alice knelt down smiling wickedly at Dana to taunt her. "Dana, my favorite outdoorsy gal?"
"Al," Dana warned.
"Dana Fairbanks," Alice snorted. "The next Billie Jean King!"
"Power to the lesbian?" Jackie offered laughing to indicate it was a joke.
Bette and Tina stood next to Dana watching the various degrees of horror cross her face as Alice brainstormed ideas for her signs. Donna emptied the last bag out, which contained an obscene amount of different colored bottles of glitter.
"What's that?" Dana asked quickly.
"The rainbow pack of glitter," Donna smiled up at a shocked Dana.
"Rainbow?" Dana swallowed the lump that had formed in her throat.
"There's a window right over there," Bette nudged Dana as she talked softly. "Throw yourself out of it and you might injure yourself enough to not have to play."
"Don't tempt me," Dana muttered as she slumped on the couch and hid her face in her hands.

I just love how Bette teases Tina and Dana. She is snarky and funny. She certainly loves Tina that is totally apparent. I believe she loves Donna too b/c Donna is genuine. PPS. I need more.

Too funny! The sweatshirts are hilarious, next Donna will send them Christmas sweaters so they can pose in front of the tree. Definitely a cross between the Beverly Hillbillies and the Griswolds. Poor Dana... I think I would forget tossing myself out the window and look to hurling myself off the roof! Just love it.

I have been home sick today and have been milkig it for all it's worth, getting lots of TLC. Then I snuck a read at this chapter. I was laughung so loudly and so often that it blew my cover. I'm now gonna have to get my own chicken soup. But your chapter was worth it. Thanks.

HEY Gumby, Great to have you back and posting more of this fabulous fan fic. I love the comical value of it all. Bette's discomfort at wearing a sweatshirt after being told how to drive all the way there. Tina is pretty immune to the jibs and jabs of her family and taking much delight in Bette's annoyance and frustration. Amazing how funny it is watching your loved ones play off against each other. Thankfully you are so deft at this that all the humor spills off the screen. My sides are sore and tears are falling down my face as I chuckle and chortle at the images you play through my mind. Am I last? You are right, Life does get in the way of the fun stuff. This was a hilarious chapter. I would love to see this story on the show. Just think of all the health benefits that this chapter would provide. Laughing and falling all over the place are much better for your body than sitting and crying.
