Moving on…we have your mother, and my mother…whom we both know now.  You know my mom a bit from what I have told you, but you are just going to have to wait and see…figure her out for yourself.  She is a great mom.  Anyways, moving on…we have my Aunt Kit…

“Yea, she is awesome!”

“Yea, you know her from her music career, but she is so much more than the singer…she also owns this café here and my mom and I go there all the time.  My Aunt Alice is basically there every day.  Oh my gosh, I just thought of something…you have to come to Sunday brunch tomorrow.  It is tradition.  Ok, this will be so good, you can meet our aunts because all of them will be there and then, your mom can see all her old friends.  This will be good.  Getting more and more excited, Chrissy continued…Oh, and then after they all know that your mom is back in town, I am sure that Alice will be dying to help us with our plan.  I know she is older, but she still acts like a kid sometimes and she will be a good partner to help us in Operation Kennard-Porter.”

“Operation Kennard-Porter?”

“Yea, I just came up with it…like it?”

“yea, that is a pretty good name for it.  After all, that is our final goal isn’t it?”

“Exactly!  Anyways…oh this will be great!  Ok ok, so then we have Aunt Shane.  She is the cool one.  She is always so chill.  My mom always brings her in when I don’t want to talk to her about things. I don’t know how she does it but Shane always gets me to talk about what is bothering me.  She is freaking amazing.  And she hardly says anything.  It is actually quite weird if you stop to think about it.  How can someone get you talking about some things without even talking to you?  Yea, it is odd… Anyways, she is married to Carmen. 

Carmen is pretty awesome.  She is pregnant right now with their first baby.  She used to be a DJ but now she works in this music production studio.  It is a pretty awesome job.  She gets paid some big bucks to chill out with music stars.”

“That kinda sounds like my mom’s job…although she hangs out with movie stars.” Lizzy said proudly.

“I know that is awesome.  We are so going to have to go to work with your mom one of these days.  Maybe she can introduce us to some stars.”

“Yea, that would be cool.  After we finish with ‘Operation Kennard-Porter’ then we can move on to schmoozing my mom into letting us come to work with her.”

“Yea, good idea.”

“God Chrissy, this is so amazing.  It is still just so hard to believe.  I mean, I go from having my mom and Annie to having a whole family with a zillion aunts.  I mean, before, in New York, it was just us and then there was my Aunt Helena, but she stopped coming around after my mom dumped her a while ago.”

“Well, you are going to love it…we have a really great family.”

Lizzy rested her head on Chrissy’s shoulder, instinctively, Chrissy rested her head on Lizzy’s. 

“Chrissy?”

“Yea?”

“I love you…there is no one else I would rather have as a sister.”

“Yea, I love you too.”

Both girls drifted to sleep, clutching the photograph, dreaming about their family and all the wonderful times they were sure would come, regardless of what their mothers decided to do, they both knew that there was no force that could stop them from having the family they always dreamed of…nothing…not even their stubborn mothers…
