Bette was once again grateful for her daughter’s interruption… “Yea, Alice…don’t be so dense”…Turning towards her daughter… “Chrissy, say good bye to your cousin, we really need to get going.”  Turning back to Alice and Dana… “Ladies, as always, it’s been a pleasure.  I will see you later.” With that, Bette got up from her seat just as Kit was coming with a coffee to go…

“Thanks Kit, you are a lifesaver.”

Kit had overheard portions of Bette’s conversation with Alice and was awaiting her sister’s exit so that she could ream Alice for her stupidity. 

“Anytime baby sis”…Turning to her niece who was just coming over to her mother after saying good bye to Charlie and her aunts… “And you sweet girl,”  Pulling Chrissy into a bear hug… “Have a great time at camp!  We will have a big party for you when you return.” 

“Thanks Aunt Kit.  With that prospect, I am more excited to come home.”

Kit burst out laughing…“Prospect…my God, you are just like your mother.”

Chrissy grinned at her aunt and then pulled her in tighter for another good bye hug…. “Alright Aunt Kit, I’ll see ya later!”

After all their good byes, mother and daughter exited The Planet hand in hand and made their way to Chrissy’s summer camp in Santa Barbara.
