In a smooth swift, a slender, soft finger was placed across the blondes full lips, preventing her to finish to that sentence. A shiver ran up and down her spine, as Bette started to push her gently backwards, out of the crowd that was still rapidly growing. Their eyes were again in what seemed to be the tightest embrace either of them had ever experienced.
Carefully the brunette lead her best friend out of the auditorium, and the instant Tina had felt the soft pressure, she had surrendered fully... As they reached the place after the lockers, that had years ago been replaced for new ones, where they used to hide out and talk, the blonde smiled with recognition. The fingertip still lingering against her lips, giving her the strangest feeling in her stomach, Tina sat down, pulling her friend with her into the little corner that was formed by the sides of two lockers, hiding them from scanning eyes...

The hurt that Tina felt due to her father must have been unbearable. To watch her mother go through what she did and know that there was really nothing that she could do to help her mother must have been very painful. Then to have the one person that could take that pain away even if it was for a few seconds to be there to catch you helps to make one continue to move forward in the walk of life. Both are sorry about something and I wonder if they can put that aside and rebuild their friendship. Of course their relationship is more than just friendship.
