I think I know of a place that will make you feel better."

"Dammit Angus, I am not going to bed with you," Bette said as she backed up.

"Hey," Angus looked at Bette/Kit with so much love, Bette stopped her backward movement.

"I am here for you. It’s all you right now, okay?"

Bette nodded her head silently.

"Okay, now come with me."

He reached out, and gently took her hand, walking her back out of the restaurant the way they had come.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bette had followed Angus, and allowed him to put her in the car, and take over the driving duties as she stared out the window wondering how she was going to get her body...her life back.
"We’re here." Angus’s voice interrupted her thoughts.
"Hmmm...where?" Bette asked as she looked around.
"Come on, it’s already started, but there’s still plenty of time." Once again Angus took the hand of the woman he loved and walked her into the small office building. Once inside, he turned them to the left and walked them down the hall.
"Where are we going?" Bette asked.
"Right here baby. Right to the place that always makes you feel better. Come on."
Pushing open the door, they walked into a room with about twenty people sitting in chairs facing a small podium where a man was just walking up to.
As Bette started to sit in an empty chair, she heard him speak.
"Hi, my name’s Don, and I’m an alcoholic."
"Hi Don," The room answered.
"Oh hell no!" Bette said as she stood right back up.
Everyone in the room turned around to look at her. The man at the podium also looked at her, and said, "Sounds like you don’t want to be here."
"I don’t." Bette answered.
"Well, you certainly don’t have to stay, but I can share with you from experience, that it does help...being here. If you let us, maybe we can help, even if it is in a small way."
"Oh..." Bette gave him a sad smile. "I don’t think you can help with this."
"Well, we may not be able to, but you’ll never know unless you try. You want to share with us what’s on your mind."
"No!" Bette answered quickly.
"Kit," Angus whispered. "Why don’t you go up there. I think it might help."
Bette looked at the forlorn look on Angus’s face, and knew that she was going to have to do this for her sister. Kit better just know that she is going to owe her one for this!
"Fine." Bette said, and she got up and walked up to the podium. The man who was standing there smiled at her and took her hand. "Welcome."
Bette stood and stared at the crowd of people, who were are sitting silently waiting for her to start talking. She had never been to an AA meeting before, but she had heard how each person introduced themselves. So, taking a deep breath, "Hi, my name is Be....Kit, and I...." She struggled to say the words, that for her were untrue. "Am an....alcoholic."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Bette, baby...come out of the bathroom please. You’re starting to scare me."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The room was still silent, waiting for the beautiful black woman to share her soul.
Bette was staring at the podium, fiddling with loose paper laying on top. "Hmmm...I’m Kit...and, uh...right....alcoholic." Looking back up, she saw the look on Angus’s face.
"Oh for the love of God!" Stepping back down, she made her way back to where Angus was sitting, and grabbed his hand pulling him out of his chair. "This wasn’t it, but thanks for the thought."
"Where are we going," Angus said, struggling to keep up.
"To Bette and Tina’s!"
"Okay, that’s cool," Angus nodded his head. "I can see the need for sisterly love at a time like this."
"Whatever!" Bette mumbled as she got behind the wheel this time, holding out her hand for the car keys.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

They pulled up to the house, and Bette jumped out of the car, feeling better already, now that she was home.

Taking the front stairs two at a time, she didn’t stop to knock, just pushing the door open.

"Tina!" She yelled as she walked into the livingroom. "Kit....I mean Bette!
