As the moments passed their eyes met, the dilated pupils remained locked, once in a while a stray tear fell from the darkest of the pools, the pale finger intermittently wiping it away, the intensity of their union overcoming Bette as the wave of emotions continued to travel throughout her body.

"Hey…," came the quiet voice.

Tina smiled at the words, her heart swelling at the vision before her, the midnight curls sticking to the hot sated woman seated on the edge of the dining room table.

Tina stood between Bette’s knees, she lent forward placing a gentle kiss on her lips before replying, "hey, are you okay?"

"Do you really need to ask that babe?"

"I’m just checking…"

"You are amazing, do you know that T?"

Tina brought her hands to Bette’s cheeks, looking deep into the loving eyes, "I’m only amazing when you’re beside me Bette."

"No T, you are a truly unique, wonderful human being and I thank my lucky stars every single day that I am part of your life."

"Oh Bette…"

"It’s true T, the day you walked into my gallery, my life became complete, since being a child I never had that, that feeling of completeness, being whole, never knowing if there would be someone who was the missing piece or if I had to live my life feeling that something was not quite right, but when we met, when I looked into your eyes, I saw it, I saw that someone who I was destined to make that journey through to eternity with."

"You changed my life too Bette, you know that killer melt you give me, like you did earlier, nothing and no one would of stopped me being with you. I thought I knew what it was like to be ‘in love’, but that was just so insignificant with the love we share Bette, and you know, it just gets deeper and deeper."

"T, you do realise that since Thursday evening, I have fallen in love with you so many more times, I fell in love with you by the pool, at the gallery, at Milk, at the beach and last night babe, I fell so deeply last night, and I never wanna stop falling in love with you, because it will never be enough…"

The words between them hung in the air, their emotions intense as the depth of the feelings sank into their very beings, their eyes saying everything that the other needed to know.

Tina smiled as she stepped back, holding her hand out, "let’s go to bed."

The two naked beings made their way through their home hand in hand, toward the haven that was their bedroom, knowing that nothing and no one would ever come between the love they shared, they had peaks and troughs and they survived, and they survived because the recognized that love, really did conquer all.
