You begin to fight within your ownself as to why the person you love is still in this state. In this case Bette can not understand why Tina is not there (awake) and by now she is struggling with life in general. Why is it that some people can wake up within a matter of hours while others never wake up? Tina is there, she somehow has to pull herself out of the gray fog. It must be totaly devestating. I personaly don't think that Bette's remark is selfish at all. It may be irrational, but think one's mind goes into overdrive when you fear lossing the one they love. I cried while reading this story. (Sorry, I am a Tina fan) Please let Tina be alright. let her wake up! Lovely Story!! 04/01/2006 , 11:25:05 AM From: honda90 Comments: when my dad passed away he was sick before hand for a long time...the last day he slowly fell into a coma, anyway, my point being is that they tell you even though the person in a coma can't respond, the hearing is the last thing to go. They can hear you as you talk to them...and so I talked and talked...Bette get off your confused horse and TALK. A person in a coma can still hear, ,radio,TV,and human voices. Bette needs to tak,and talk and talk.
