That Tina's still pretty good at pointing a finger. Not that Henry's misunderstood or anything. Is she congenitally unable to take any responsibility for herself? Who get her committed to a hospital before she hurts herself or anyone else? I mean more than she has already?

I can feel the vitriol spewing from Tina's mouth and her increasing contempt for Henry and herself. She didn't want to stay in that world yet she defends it. Otherwise, the last 8 years of her life would be meaningless. Great writing.

Why is tina leaving Angelica with Henry? Henry and tina deserves each other but not angelica. How far does tina have her head up her ass? I think maybe her neck has gone up it as well as.

Wow. It seems that Henry is reacting and behaving the way he is, because Tina set up the premise as how to act and never corrected his incorrect statements, now that she's starting to have enough, he just keeps getting meaner! Not that I'm defending Henry!! Cuz like I hate him, and you wrote him great cuz I hate him. Of course he see glimpses of this Henry in the season finale... I hope Tina goes to cream, where the gang is, or everyone ends up at The Planet!!

Tina is definitely lost and needs some type of help. I'm also guessing she'll go to Cream and run into Bette. That won't be pretty at all. Loved the flashback to the time B&T were at the store. I wonder if Bette ever thinks about that? I don't know how this will end, but I do hope that even if B&T can't be together that they can at least be friends and Tina will let Bette into Angelica's life again.

Tina is in that world but not of it, and that's a dilemma that she must resolve. She cannot live in both worlds. Something has to give. While Henry words seem harsh, I can understand his frustration. Tina married him. She should have thought of what that entailed. He's not trying to deny Angelica or get her out of the house. He wants to adopt her. Tina is the one I'm worried about. I'm afraid she will snap and so something violent to her. Thanks!

Tina and Henry are the fanfic Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. What in the hell kind of cheap drugs is Tina on? Did Tina really think that she could shit on Bette's life and not have her actions catch up with her? As Bob Marley says, "When the rain falls, it don't fall on one mans house top." And Henry's even crazier to marry Tina. Or he's on even cheaper drugs. Oh what a tangled web! Anyway, your writing is awesome and you definitely deserve a fanfic award. Looking forward to part 3! Carry on with your brilliance, Lastkid.

I agree with pandamel. Tina married Henry, and up until now has not corrected him when he has made inappropriate remarks, or jokes that are in bad taste. By not saying anything to him in the past, she sent the message that it was, and is okay to ridicule her friends, call them names, and hide her previous life from his friends. It is only because she herself is finally...slowly becoming aware of just how lost she became, and what the consequences of her actions were, that she is starting to feel the hurt of each of Henry's remarks. Better late than never, so let's hope that Tina is spurred into action by his remarks, as well as by what her friends are finally willing to say to her. Thanks lastkid. Your writing is wonderful.

Hoho, you did give us a tiny Bette AND Tina here, although it's only a memory piece. I think Henry is a jerk, but Tina is a bitch first. She gave Henry the chance and the guts to say that about Bette and her friends. Tina should be mad at herself before getting angry with anyone else.

Ah, crap. Run, Tina, run. That Henry is no good, and you leave Angelica with him? Ugh! It's kind of funny to think that some people hide in the closet for fear of rejection and all that, in comparison with people who CHOOSE to live in a box because they cannot accept the world for what it is. Love your fic as alaways, Lastkid. And I am SOOO late for work it's not even funny. Please post soon. Cheers!

It is fascinating to think about why Tina married this man. Perhaps he was just the first ticket she could buy to the straight world which she thinks she wants. At least he knows enough about jazz to coin "Felonious Monk." Wonderful comparison of Bette with the "stupid tabouli chick." There may be lots of these comparisons. Superb writing as always.

Tina should get as far away as possible (she and Angelica) from that ignoramus bigot named Henry, but she doesn't deserve to go back to the life (and friends) she willingly and rather decisively left—there's the rub. Both Tina and Henry are assholes in this story (and on the show) and are deserving of each other. An aside: why doesn't anyone on the damn show friggin' call Tina on all the crap she's dishing out? Why can we only see that kind of honesty in fanfics? Okay, I'm done ranting. :)

How dare anyone compare you to miss Chaiken? You continue where IC stops. I actually look forward to your stories I can't remember the last time I was excited to watch the L Word. The characters you write are raw; embodied with so much realism that there is a fine line between their emotions and mines. Bette, Angelica and Henry are all victims of cycloon Tina. She's mad at Henry? How about just for once she gets mad at herself for the pain and suffering she causes. The woman has no sense of moral fortitude and it's really creepy. If I were to have one wish granted it would be for Tina to stay the hell away from Bette. But then your story would be all but mute, so by all means carry on and never stop. Thanks Kid.

hey lasty...what they said...double! Now Henry will be just one more person who is "hurting" Tina, so the victim and martyr marches on. It is so hard to read without wanting to just murder Tina but as always, you do it SOOO well. If needed, I can have my steamroller ready and available in no time! Will flatten two for the price of one! It doesn't surprise me at all that she leaves the baby with him, because SHE wants to go out. All About Tina you know! ARRRRGGGH. but, if we flattened her, you would have to write about Bette and the baby being happy...I'm gassing er up as we speak! As always, can't wait for more. Soon!

I agree with pandamel. In the beginning Tina never corrected Henry with his derogatory remarks against Bette or the gang. Now she's condemning him for them. It seems like Tina is looking in a mirror when she looks at Henry...she's seeing how she was in the beginning with him and now with time she doesn't like what she sees. This is the world she wanted and created...funny, the grass is never greener. Lastly, she should not have left Angelica with Henry. Thanks for the story..please continue.

Plus, not to mention the one and Only true love that you have (The one and ONLY BETTE PORTER). Nice post, as you can tell I got a tad worked up over fuck face. My heart is breaking for Bette and I can only hope that Tina will wake up. I remember from your earlier post about Bette walking into the babies room at 7:45 every night to sing a song to an empty bed. My heart still aches from the visual scene.

The fact that Tina's life has not turned out to be the Elysian fantasy she envisioned has turned her into an emotional powder keg, and therefore even the slightest amount of friction will set her off......This same disenchantment is what fuels Tina's derisive remark about the "tabouli chick". She needs to feel better about her self so she belittles others......I loved the symbolism of the gluten-free tabouli - There is nothing artificial, it is what it is, unlike Tina's life. And the striping out the "bads" and adding in the "goods", how never knowing 'they' don't want the bad things becomes easier, second nature is an excellent commentary on what Henry is doing with Tina's past. Juxtaposing that against her shopping trip with Bette, her desire to not have her basics compromised - brilliant!.....Kids are extremely perceptive, Angelica sensed the tension between Tina and Henry and started squirming. Tina might want to heed the tacit warning from her daughter......Henry is just like Tina, he changes the subject when he gets uncomfortable turning the tables on Tina and asking her what she says when asked about Bette. Henry says Tina's past doesn't bother him but clearly it does, otherwise he wouldn't have lied about Tina having a boyfriend......The heat gets turned up and Tina leaves - they are two peas in a pod......Henry is just as manipulative as Tina as well, he tries to control the coversation and twist words to his advantage......His actions contradtict his convictions, if he wants to adopt Angelica so badly, then why did he ask Tina if she got a sitter? Wouldn't he, as a father (or wanna be)just assume that he would be watching her out of paternal responsibility regardless of whether or not they were fighting?......Henry's disparaging remarks about Bette further elucidate his insecurities. His inability to accept or understand Tina's relationship with Bette results in the enmity that is palpable between the two of them......I viewed Tina's kissing, holding and rocking of Angelica after Henry's outburst as a subconscious means of protecting Bette against Henry's epigrams.......Tina pushes buttons and pushes others into making decisions, and so does Henry. His denigrating freaks and geeks discourse is a prime example......They both exhibit passive/aggressive behaviors......Tina is equal in her acrimony, but seems surprised on some level at Henry's posture about it all - that's what you get when you bring a U-Haul on the first date. You don't get to know someone's true self until it's too late. His rejoinder that he would rather be with his "own kind" suddenly turns Tina's world on its ear......Tina not giving voice to her inner truth, that she misses the freaks and geeks that were once her family, and would rather spend time with them than what has become her narrow minded and hypocritical world speaks volumes. In fact, it's seismic in its implications......She has jumped out of the fat and into the fire. And whether or not it was because of her fear of being hurt again by Bette, or a fear of 'otherness'...the action and the consequences are hers alone.......Kid, the way in which you show the metamorphosis of relationships is exquisite. You show Tina's capricious nature and reflect that back through the prism of her discontent. I love this story and can't wait for the next chapter. Brilliant as always.

Loved the one where Alice let Tina have it. she does derserve it, sure Bette screwed up we all do, but damn Tina went like off the deep end. Love how your working in that Tina is having regrets, awesome job. As it is in the real world, the grass is not always greener, its just different grass. She should run into Bette, and Bette should just walk away, no bitterness, no anger, just walk away. Keep em comin.
