What? What's wrong?"
TINA- "I can't get her to sleep, I don't know what's wrong. She's restless. I took her to see Dr. Wilson earlier today, because I was worried, but the doctor said everything checked out fine. She doesn't have a temperature or anything. She ate a little while ago. She's been crying all day though, and now she just won't stop. Henry had dinner with me but he's got an early day tomorrow so he couldn't stay over. Alice, I honestly don't know what to do. I feel like I'm at my wits' end."
ALICE- "I'm just leaving the Planet. Do you think maybe I should bring Kit?"
TINA- "Why?"
ALICE- "Well she's obviously not sickremember what I said beforeit's like Angelica knew something was up last week."
TINA- "How could she know Alice? How could she possibly know that?"
ALICE- "She was with Bette and Kit went to take carefrom her arms."
TINA- "It's not like they've never been apart Al."
ALICE- "But it's not like they've ever been apart like THIS before. Tina, Bette said goodbye to her."
TINA- "What are you talking about?"
ALICE- "You saw the image of Bette in front of the house that day as well as I did. I heard Kit when she came to the carI heard her tell you what it was like taking Angelica from Bette's arms."
TINA- "I know. What does that have to do with it? I mean she's going to see her again, once we resolve everything."
ALICE- "TinaI told you last nightseeing her again, not in her capacity as a mother, is hardly any consolation. Why do you keep ignoring that?"
TINA- "Alice, I'm not ignoring anything. I need tolook, I don't understand why you're"
ALICE- "Yeah well I don't understand either. Something's bothering me about this whole thingBette looked like she was going to commit harri kari."
TINA- "Alice please, I need your help, can we forget all that for now? Alice she's crying like crazy. Listen, you wait there, tell Kit to wait. I've gotta get out of hereI'm going to bring Angelica there. Stay put. Bye."
(Alice runs bag to the Planet.)
ALICE- (Out of breathe) "Hey Kit"
KIT- "You back already? What's up?"
ALICE- "It's Angelicashe won't stop crying and Tina doesn't know what to do. I suggested you go over there but she's going to bring her here."
KIT- "What?! Why?"
ALICE- "She saw the doctor todaythere's nothing medically wrong. I'm thinkingwell, she sensed Bette's pain that day. She understood what was going on, on some level and if you comfort her, well"
KIT- "Alcome on. I mean reallymaybe she sense something that day and Bette was pretty intense emotionally, but I don't think"
ALICE- "Well, Tina's at her wit's endwhat would you have me do?"
KIT- "And what is that going to solve? I don't even look like Bette."
ALICE- "It's not about the looks Kitit's the bond thingI really think she can sense that."
KIT- "Look, I don't knowfine. I'll wait here. I miss her as it is, so I might as well take advantage of the time with her. But you sure that Tina is ok with this?"
ALICE- "I don't think she knows what to do, whether she's ok about it or not."
KIT- "Listen, when she gets here, don't leave me alone with her. You got it?"
ALICE- "Ok. Why though?"
KIT- "It's just too awkward. I don't want to start talking about what happened and I also don't want her to feel uncomfortablelike she has to talk about it."
ALICE- "That's a big friggin elephant in the room Kit. But yeah, alright. 'Don't talk about it'I'm the one that's going to need therapy with all you people not talking about anything."
(Tina drives over to the Planet and heads to the back office. Angelica is crying.)
TINA- "Kit, I'm sorry. I didn't know what else to do."
KIT- "It's ok Tina, I'm glad I could help. I'm always herewhenever you need anything, ok?"
TINA- "Thanks Kit. She won't stop crying."
KIT- (She focuses on Angelica) "Hey there baby girlwhat are you complaining about huh?" (She starts to stroke her chest. Angelica continues to cry and then whimper. She takes her from Tina and cradles her as she sits down. Angelica cries louder. Kit starts rocking her and starts singing. Eventually, Angelica calms down.) "Oh yeahthat's it ain't it? You're just a spoiled little angel ain't ya? Mhmmm. You did all this just to hear me sing, didn't you little girl? Uh huh, yeah I know the drill. I'm not stupid you know." (Angelica calms down further and the rocking, as well as crying all day, puts her to sleep. Kit looks up at Tina) "I always sang to her when I babysat, so I guess the familiarity just does the trick."
ALICE- "Yeah," (looking at Tina) "that's gotta be it."
TINA- (Tina looks away and at Kit) "Kit, you gotta teach me the songfor next time! Thank you. You're a lifesaver. I just don't know what got into her. Nothing I did helped. Henry tried too." (Alice rolls her eyes.)
KIT- "Have a seat. Stay for a while.
