But let's take it slow."  (They lift her gently.)  "Are you feeling alright?"

TINA-  "I think so."

MIKE-  "I think we're just going to have you sit on the stretcher here and then we'll take it from there.  We don't know what sort of head injury you have, just that it appears to not be serious at the moment.  But I want you to move very slowly, ok?"  (Tina nods.  They complete the move and then put Tina in the back of the ambulance.)

KIT-  (Kit rubs Bette's arm and looks at her in the eyes.)  "It's going to be ok.  I'll make sure everything goes alright at the hospital.  You stay here with Alice and Shane.  I'll phone you guys as soon as I get news she's ok."  (Bette just nods.  She's a wreck and she's exhausted.  Kit kisses her on the cheek and strokes her face.

Everyone stands back as Mike comes back and both he and Angie ready Tina and lift her into the back of the ambulance.  They enter the ambulance after closing the doors to the back.  Bette is standing on the sidewalk with Shane and Alice on either side of her.  As the ambulance drives off, and Shane and Alice start to turn to look at Bette, Bette is fighting a tremendous pressure, more euphemistically referred to as a lump in her throat, and her eyes are intensifying in their moisture.her face is angst ridden and her two friends quickly realize she's about to fall apart.  Bette's body weakens as she lets out a sigh of grief and a release of pain.  As Bette starts falling to her knees, Alice and Shane, the latter of whom drops the umbrella, grab Bette by her arms to steady her but they merely slow the descent.  They each grab hold of her arms and, as they all now kneel on the wet ground, Bette cries without boundary, without reason or temperance and uses the tension created by her friends holding her and her pulling from them as the only tie to sanity, safety and stability that she'll allow during these moments filled with conflicting surges of thoughts and emotions- the sheer pain borne of all these months and the possibility that she had almost seriously injured Tina, the guilt of hurting her by taking Angelica, and in the midst of all of this.the intense yet bittersweet relief to have heard the words from her Tina that had eluded her for so long

Alice and Shane held her as the feelings and hurt she was exorcising with her wails and tears released into the rain.  They moved with her, almost rocking her and then almost cradling her as she let them finally win their tug of war and surrendered herself into their arms.  They gently assured her and stood her up, taking her back into the house.)

ALICE-  "Okit's ok.  Let's just go into the bedroom sweetie.  We gotta get you out of these clothes."  (Shane and Alice, gently and efficiently, undressed the languishing woman before them.  It was mostly Alice doing the work as Shane put the wet clothes on the floor and handed Alice the clothes she suggested.  Jeans and a black buttoned down shirt.  Bette complied with their every word.)  "Shane, you and I are gonna catch a pneumonia if we don't change.  You mind going to your place and getting us both a change of clothes?"

SHANE-  "Absolutely, I'll be right back."  (She pats Bette lightly on the head and leaves.)

ALICE-  (They're sitting on the side of the bed.)  "It looks like Angie and Mike knew what they were doing.  I'm sure it'll all be ok.  It's probably just a concussion."  (Bette turns slowly and looks at Alice, who can read her.)  "I know.  I know.  But it's not your fault.  It's nobody's fault.  Now kidnapping the kid, well"  (Bette lowers her head.)  "even thatwith everything going on, after all that's happened, obviously it was justwell, temporary insanitywho wouldn't freak?  You love her.  You love her so muchAngelica I mean.  And you brought her back of your own accord, it's not like you drove to Mexico or something and wouldn't bring her back.  You realized it was the right thing to do.  I'm sure Tina knowsI'm sure she's finally friggin gets ityou love that kidand you still love her.BetteII know what she saidI heard about what she said to you."

BETTE-  "Alice, it's over."

ALICE-  "What d'ya mean?  What's over?  What are you talking about?"

BETTE-  "You know what I'm talking about.  It's over.  What she said to me doesn't matter."

ALICE-  "What???  Why the fuck not?  How could it not matter?  Bette, what the hec are you talking about?  Did you hit your head too?"

BETTE-  "Al, it's just too much."

ALICE-  "Too much?"

BETTE-  "Alice where have you been all these months?  Where were you tonight, before she said those words, which I remind was after she hit her headwhere were you?  Did you not witness all the things that have happened, all the painfulI guess not, I guess you really have no clue."

ALICE-  "What?"

BETTE-  "Alice she left meshe left me in her heart while we were still living together raising Angelica, and then she left me entirely and moved onshe's moved on in every wayshe's fucking a man now, in case you hadn't noticed.  And she asked for Henry to be by her side tonightnot me."

ALICE-  (Getting annoyed and her voice raising)  "Where was I?  Where were YOU tonight?  Did you not see her?  Did you not see her face?  Did you not hear her words?  B, how do you think you ended up kneeling over the love of your life in the rain?  Remember Bette?  You ran off and she ran after youshe went after you and she physically tried to stop you from leaving Porter she fought you to get you back.  You two boobsyou've been fighting each other like stupid people these past months and this is where it got youbut, gotta hand it to you, you may have taken quite a way of getting here, but here you areback at the beginningfinally"

BETTE-  "It's not the beginning, it's the end."  (Shane is back and walks in.)

ALICE-  "What????!"

SHANE-  (Handing her the clothes)  "Here you go Al."

ALICE-  "Yoda, take a seat, our friend here has lost her mind."

SHANE-  "Betteyou ok?"

ALICE-  "She's not ok, she's nuts."

SHANE- "Al"

BETTE-  (To Alice)  "Why don't you just get changed."

ALICE-  "Fine."  (She grabs the clothes and goes to the foot of the bed where she changes into the dry clothes.  While she's doing this)  "Shane, did you not hear what Tina said tonight?"

SHANE-  "Yeah, I heard.  How did YOU hear?  You were in the house."
