ALICE-  "Thank God, they're almost here."

KIT-  "Alice, let's go stand near the street and signal them so they find us faster."  (Alice nodded and ran out to the sidewalk with her.  They exchanged some words and Kit returned, leaving Alice there.  The ambulance pulled in.  The two paramedics, a male and female team, both run out to where Tina lay.  Alice is right behind them.)

MIKE-  "Let us take over ladies."  (Both paramedics move in and the friends simply move back a bit and Shane continues holding the umbrella.  The paramedics do their work.)

ANGELA-  "Mike, she's got a strong pulse and blood pressure is within normal range.  You got the smelling salts?"

MIKE-  "Yeah, hey ladies, what happened?  Did she fall?  Did she faint?  Is she on medication?"

KIT-  "She was running to catch up to my sister here and she fell."

BETTE-  "It was my fault.  I was pulling away as she was trying to hold me back and"  (Mike and Angie look at Bette and then the others.)

KIT-  "As my sister pulled away, she fellthere's blood coming from her head so we don't know if she hit something on the ground." 

MIKE-  "Angie, check the wound."  (Angie feels around and takes a look with her flashlight.  She takes a close look.)

ANGIE-  "She's lucky, it looks like just the skin is breached.  She might just need a couple of stitches, but there's no way to know at this point what her head trauma is going to be like."

MIKE-  "Let's try and see if we can rouse this pretty lady from her deep sleep."  (He administers the smelling salts.  Tina grimaces, moves her head and awakes.)

BETTE-  "T?"

ALICE-  "Tina"

KIT-  "Oh thank GodTina baby" 

SHANE-  "YES!"

ANGIE-  "Hey there Tina.  Can you see me?"  (Tina nods.)   "Ok.  You're going to be just fine.  Do you feel pain anywhere?"

TINA-  "My head."

ANGIE-  "Here, where I'm holding you with my hand?"

TINA-  "Yeah."

ANGIE-  "Ok.  You hit your head and there's a nasty cut there.  We're going to get you to the hospital to get a thorough check done and stitch you up.  Ok?"

TINA-  "Ok.  Bette?  Where's Bette?"  (Bette moves in.)

BETTE-  "Tina TI'm here"  (She moves some of Tina's hair off her face gently and touches the left side of her face while holding Tina's hand.)  "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry"

TINA-  "No.no.  It's ok.  It was an accident.  Listen to meit's going to be ok.  Angelicawhere's Angelica?"

ALICE-  "She's ok, asleep in the house."

TINA-  "Kit, please, call Henry and tell him everything is ok.  Tell him where they're taking me."  (Bette's tears were already flowing but now her heart is sinking.  Kit had become the diplomatic go-between when it came to Henry and her sister, particularly when she babysat Angelica.)  "Please take Angelica and come to the hospital with me." 

ALICE-  "I'm coming too."

TINA-  "No.  Just Kit."

ANGIE-  (To Tina)  "We can fasten the child in the back with you."  (To Kit)  "Kit, you can ride with us as well." 

ALICE-  "I'll go get Angelica."  (She goes to the house.)

ANGIE-  "Hey, now there's a beautiful name!"  (Smiling at Tina.  Tina smiles back.)

TINA-  "I know how to pick 'em!  But you're just biased!

MIKE-  (Jokingly)  "Na, she just always thinks she's SOOOO special!"

ANGIE-  "Hey bossman, that's just because I AM!"  (They laugh.)

SHANE-  "Tina, I can drive everyone else to the hospital if they wantif you want too."

TINA-  "NO.  Thank you Shane.  I just want Kit and Angelica."  (Bette is numb.  All she can do is look at Tina's eyes.  Almost nothing else moves her.)

KIT-  "Ok Tina, whatever you want."  (She winks at Shane.)  "Shane you stay here with Alice and look after everything..."  (Kit gives Shane a look and glances at Bette and then looks back at Shane, who understands that she's now under orders to look after Bette.)

SHANE-  (Shane nods.)  "You got it Kit."  (Alice comes out with the baby and Mike takes her in to fasten her in the back.)

ANGIE-  "Okay Tina, ready for the trip?"  (Tina nods.  She looks at Bette and they now make eye contact.)

TINA-  "I'm ready. " 

ANGIE-  "Ok, we're going to try and sit you up.  But let's take it slow."
