Then around 1am Alice was suddenly woken up by a sound outside of her window.

"Shit, what was that?"

Alice immediately thought it was a cat or something, but just to be on the safe side she went and looked. She pulled back the curtain and looked out and was surprised at what she saw. Someone was looking back at her, and in an instant they were gone. Alice was totally freaked out and ran right for her cell to call Dana. Just as she was about to push the send button she realized that it was way too late to call Dana for something like this. Alice tried to go back sleep but gave in and went in to the living room and turned on the TV. Almost 3 hours later she fell asleep.

Running for her dear life Tonya made it back to her car.

"Damn I almost blew it. I hope she didn't see me. But what if she did? I can't take any chances I have to do this tonight."

Alice was woken up by her cell phone going off. At first it scared the living hell out of her but then she calmed down when the caller ID showed Dana's number.

"You know it's not nice to stand your girl up Alice."

"OH MY GOD! Dana I'm so sorry you will never believe what happened last night"

"What. Alice is everything okay."

"Well yes and no. Okay so I was sleep and around 1am I heard something outside my window and I to pull the curtain back to look and  I saw  someone was staring back at me then they ran off. It freaked me out so bad that I couldn't go back to sleep until like 4am. Dana I'm so sorry."

"Wow Al it's okay. Are you okay?"

"Yea I'm okay just freaked out. I think I want to just chill at home for today."

"Yea I can understand that."

"You can come over if you want to for like dinner."

"Okay that would be great Al."

"I'll make my famous Chicken Alfredo."

"Sounds good to me."

"And I have this really old bottle of wine we can drink."

"Al you know wine goes right to my head."

"Damn you figured out my plan."

"Whatever you little horn dog, I'll see you later."

"Okay."

"Al try and not thing about last night it probably was like the paparazzi or something."

"Yea you're probably right Dana."

"Yea okay so like 5:30-6 tonight?"

"That's fine."

"Great bye Al"

"Bye Dana."

All day Alice tried to tell herself that it was nothing. That it was just paparazzi like Dana said. But deep down she knew it wasn't and she would find herself looking out the windows just to make sure there wasn't anyone there. She knew who ever was there last night was still out there and would probably be back. She managed to get dinner ready and got changed. She had the table set and the wine was chilling when her intercom buzzed.

"Yea."

"It's me."

"Come on up"

Alice unlocked her door so Dana could just walk in. She went one more time and looked out the window she just couldn't shake the feeling that someone was out there.

"That really has you freaked out doesn't it?"

Alice jumped. "Shit Dana you scared me."

"Sorry and you have nothing to be scared of cause your big strong lesbian pro tennis playing girlfriend is here to protect you."

"Dana.your such a dork."

"Yea but you know you like it."

"Of course I do. Dinner is on the table all I need to get is the wine and the wine glasses."

"Okay well if you don't mind I'd like to get changed."

"Sure no problem, you get changed and I'll get the glasses and the wine."

"Okay be back soon."

"Not soon enough."

Little did the both of them know that there really was someone outside and it was going to get ugly.

"Ha I have a great shot all I need is for Dana to get out of the way. Wish granted! Tonya pulled the trigger and sent to bullets hurling towards Alice's chest.

Alice heard the sound of glass breaking and felt two sharp pains dig into her chest which sent her crashing to the ground. She wasn't sure what was happening but all she could feel was a warm liquid starting to form over her right breast. She realized it was her own

blood.

Dana was getting changed when she heard glass breaking and then a thud. She threw on her shirt and ran to the kitchen.

"Al are you okay? Alice?"

Dana ran into the kitchen and saw Alice lying on the floor bleeding.

"OH MY GOD ALICE. ALICE ARE YOU OKAY?"

All Alice could do was nod her head. It was too painful her to talk and she didn't want to scare Dana she could tell how upset she already was. She knew she had to be strong no matter how much pain she was in. She had to do it for Dana. Dana grabbed towels and put pressure on the wounds and called 911. The paramedics came and immediately started working on Alice, hooking her up to all sorts of things. When they were ready to take her they refused to let Dana ride in the Ambulance because she wasn't family. Just as they were putting her in Dana yelled.

"Alice baby I'll be right behind you all the way. Please baby hold on I need you, I cant live without you. Please don't leave me.

The ambulance drove off leaving Dana standing there in tears. She went in grabbed her keys and both of their cells and took off for the hospital. All the way there she was weaving in and out of cars trying to get there as fast and she could. When she got there they didn't know anything about Alice's condition. Dana did the only thing she knew how to: called Shane.  Shane left for the hospital right away and all the way there she called the rest of their friends.

Dana heard footsteps rushing down the hall and saw Shane coming. She got up and ran to her.
