Wouldn't it be wise for Bette to tell Tina the original purpose for her trip to Africa to begin with....before Tina arrives in LA? I would hate for Tina to think that Bette's love for her was just a sham, just so she could procure an artist for the CAC. Shouldn't she tell Tina before hand? She's got it bad. She's the consumate planner. What better person to have in charge of getting the house ready for Tina? Plus, she obviously has the connections. But, did you say...carpenter? Oh, please not her. The fact that Bette wanted a new bed was an interesting twist. You never fully realize all the history that it holds, until it truly matters. Niiiice comparison of Bette unwrapping Tina's artwork and her undressing her. The visual was, uh...yeah. It's all about the details. The way you described Tina's overwhelming feeling of packing away a life's worth of accomplishments was very vivid. Amazing how powerful putting your life into boxes and crates can be. I want a Vual of my own! He is one amazing man. She is going to miss him tremendously. Wise, tender and sweet man.
